Title: City of Fury, City of Tears, part 1
Team Present: Eon Master of Time, Errant, Myth, Think Tank, Major Havoc, Water Witch
Adversaries: Fury, Mistress Despair
The beginning of a new volume would start off with the Patrol tracking down the robbery of several electronic devices and an arcane formula, all of which seemed to lead to the conclusion that someone was building a device to transmit I-powers over the airwaves. But why? The answer would become apparent when our heroes set up a stakeout of a Foundry warehouse. There they would find two minor gods calling themselves Fury and Mistress Despair purchasing the last half of the equipment needed for the device. This issue would introduce a new writer for the storyline and serve as Water Witch's first appearance.

Adversaries: Vigilante The investigation of the murder of Cheshire Cat reveals that Errant was the killer. Or rather, Errant's former powers, come back in a corporeal form (Vigilante) and laying down "justice" with none of that pesky morality involved. The Patrol whips up a device to capture Vigilante and convert it back to the pure cosmic energy from whence it came. Errant, to prevent the powers from going wild once more, absorbs them back into himself, ending the threat. This issue marks the return of Errant to his cosmically powered form.
