Super Friends

The Super Friends are a perfect product of modern society. They are young, good looking I-heroes who live together and are filmed as part of a reality television series. That isn't to say the Super Friends don't do a lot of good. In fact, they have. However, their status as celebrities first and I-heroes second does limit their effectiveness. It also makes them wealthy. Other shows have tried similar concepts but only the Super Friends have lasted to the present day.

2001
- Taking advantage of public interest, NBC debuts a new reality show entitled ‘Super Friends’ which follows the lives of six twenty-something Impossibilities in New York City. By the end of the year there will be a slew of Impossibility related programming.

- Super Friends has the overall highest ratings on television for the second season in a row.

2004
- Mickey Bright, the Super Friend also known as Supersonic, sets a land speed record by running from one end of the US to the other in a matter of seconds.
- A tsunami devastates much of Asia. Many Impossibility groups, including the Super Friends, Operation: Alpha, the Super Soldier Six, and the Defense Corp, assist in the aftermath.

- The Super Friends rescue six female hostages being held at a school in Bailey, Colorado. The gunman is killed. It is unclear if he shot himself or was killed in a struggle for his weapon.
