The most remarkable feature of the city of Spalus is the Spali Bank, a solid stone fortress built in the center of the city. Inside this fortress are large deposits of gold, gemstones, and other precious items. People come from all over Aeryn to deposit things in the Spali Bank vaults for protection and safety.
