Tashika Washington's father was the Athlete. When he died, she took up her own mask in his honor. She had already been a world class martial artist, planning on Olympic competition. Instead, she trained harder, advancing her mastery of weapons. At one point, she was sued over her codename and helped establish the validity of I-hero identities.
