Virginia Montgomery

Miss Virginia Montgomery is the only daughter of Lord Thomas and Lady Gennifer Montgomery of Persephone. Living a life of leisure, Virginia has never known adversity or hardship. That might explain why she is somewhat enamoured with the "bad side of the tracks". She enjoys walking through Eavesdown, watching the lower class scurry and work. She even buys things, on occasion. Not clothes, of course, but little knick-knacks. She has a collection. At her father's insistance, she always takes bodyguards with her when she leaves the safety of the Montgomery Plantation. Vincent Locke knows Virginia from his days as a member of the upper class of Persephone, though he spent more time with her brother, Henry. He had the chance to make her acquaintance again when she took possession of a pekingese that the crew of the Mao's Claw was transporting to the Buddhist Monastery in Eavesdown. Fortunately, Del was able to retrieve the dog with little trouble.

Colonel Angela Jones

During the war, Lieutenant Angela Jones was assigned to a private POW facility. There, she served as an interrogator. That's the nice word for it. Torturer is a far better term. The information Angela gained saved the lives of Alliance soldiers, though it cost the sanity, dignity, and lives of Independent prisoners. After the war, Angela was eventually promoted to Colonel and given a position of leadership on Persephone, commanding the local garrison. During her time on Persephone a number of murders have gone unsolved. Every few months a new body would show up showing signs of torture. Few people realized that these were partners Angela picked up for a sexual rendevous. Usually, she kept her impulses in check during sex play but occasionally they got out of control. Her own spree of death ended when Phineas Cage shot her dead.
